KKU Librarians Lead Workshop on Academic Writing and Publication for Medical Faculty

KHON KAEN – Librarians from Khon Kaen University (KKU) shared their expertise on academic writing and publishing with faculty, physicians, and medical staff at a specialized workshop hosted by the university’s Faculty of Medicine.

The training session, held on February 10, 2026, was organized by the Department of Community, Family, and Occupational Medicine. The workshop aimed to enhance the skills of medical researchers in writing high-quality academic articles for publication in national and international journals, focusing on research related to community health care, treatment, and promotion.

The KKU Library dispatched two expert librarians to serve as key speakers: Yossayada Sittiwong, Head of the Reference and Innovation Information Services Unit, and Natta-on Lieoprasert, Head of the School for Librarians Unit.

Throughout the workshop, the speakers provided comprehensive training on essential research and publication techniques. Topics covered included conducting literature searches, selecting appropriate journals for publication, writing articles according to international standards, and managing citations with specialized software. The goal was to equip researchers with the necessary skills to present their work effectively to the academic community.

The invitation for the librarians to lead the session highlights the recognized expertise of the KKU Library staff across various disciplines. It also reinforces the library’s mission as an academic support unit dedicated to enhancing the research capabilities of all university departments, contributing to KKU’s goal of becoming a world-leading research university.
