The Khon Kaen University Library is actively supporting classroom instruction by dispatching its information technology experts to serve as guest lecturers, aiming to equip the next generation of researchers with essential digital skills.
On November 25, 2025, Mr. Panuwat Uthaibarn, a Senior Information Specialist from the library, was invited to deliver a special lecture to students enrolled in the course “HS423303 Research Data Management Techniques.” The course is part of the Bachelor of Arts program in Sociology and Anthropology within the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences.
The lecture focused on two key topics relevant to modern research:
- Fundamentals of Computer System Management: Providing students with the foundational knowledge needed to manage data and software for their research projects.
- Generative AI Tools for Research Support: Introducing the application of artificial intelligence in the research process, from generating ideas and conducting literature reviews to analyzing and presenting data.
This instructional activity highlights the library’s initiative to leverage its staff’s expertise for academic service, directly supporting the teaching and learning goals of various university faculties. The effort is designed to enhance students’ capabilities and prepare them for future academic and professional challenges.
By participating as lecturers, the KKU Library demonstrates its evolving role beyond being a mere provider of information resources. It positions itself as an “Educational Partner,” actively applying its knowledge and innovation to support the university’s mission of producing high-quality graduates with skills relevant to a rapidly changing world.
