
Khon Kaen University’s main library hosted a visit for over 100 students participating in the “One Up October Camp 2025,” an academic program organized by the One Up Academy tutorial school. The educational tour, held on Friday, October 17, 2025, was designed to inspire the students and provide them with a firsthand look at a modern higher education learning environment.
The student delegation was formally welcomed by library executives, including Mr. Wanchat Phumi, Deputy Director for Physical Services and Innovation, and Mrs. Yupaporn Thongnoi, AAssistant Director for Strategic Implementation and Information Resource Management.
The primary goal of the visit was to allow students to experience the atmosphere of a key learning resource at Khon Kaen University. A team of professional librarians, including Ms. Piyapatchar Suwankasem,
Ms. Nattaon Leawprasert, Mrs. Mukda Duangphim, Mrs. Yupa Duangphim, and Ms. Waraporn Panomsiri, guided the students through various service areas. The tour highlighted contemporary facilities such as the co-working spaces and the innovative Makerspace, which was presented by library staff member Mr. Uthis Namsithan.
A special feature of the tour was the “Metaverse Experience,” which showcased the library’s latest technological service. Mr. Pitipong Pimpa, Head of Strategic Planning and Information Technology Unit, and Mr. Phanuwat Uthaiban, an Information Specialist, introduced the students to virtual reality technology, generating significant excitement and offering a new perspective on digital learning.
The library expressed its hope that the visit would serve as an inspiration for the students and motivate them in their future pursuit of higher education.
