KKU Library Interns Learn No-Code Automation with n8n

Interns and staff at the Khon Kaen University (KKU) Library participated in a hands-on workshop to build automated systems without needing to write code. The event, titled “No-Code Ninja: n8n Workflow Challenge,” was held on February 11 and 13, 2026.

Organized by the library’s professional experience training committee, the workshop was led by instructor Pimyada Nantawong. The first day focused on fundamentals, introducing participants to the n8n automation tool, its installation, and basic functions. A practical session on automating tasks within the Google ecosystem was supported by technical coach Theerayut Balchon, an information specialist, and librarians Nattorn Leawprasert and Yupa Duangpim, who provided data context.

On the second day, teams developed their own workflow automation projects with guidance from coaches, covering aspects like database connections and dashboard creation. The final projects were presented to a panel of experts, including Dr. Prasit Prathumrat and Ms. Yossayada Sittiwong.

The winning project was “Tour Management Queue Automatic” by “TEAM B: Almost Asleep but We Made It Back,” which created an efficient system for managing tour schedules. Another notable project by “TEAM A: The White Knight Who Yawns All Day” was an “Automatic Notification System for Supervision and Presentation Schedules.”

The training provided an opportunity for participants to develop valuable automation skills to improve workplace efficiency, demonstrating that complex systems can be built without a background in programming.
