KKU Library Welcomes Students for “Metaverse Experience” Digital Learning Tour

KHON KAEN – The Khon Kaen University (KKU) Library hosted a group of 56 teachers and students from Kumsan Wittayasan School on February 6, 2026, introducing them to its innovative “Metaverse Experience” and other digital learning resources.

The visit was part of the school’s “Kumsan to KKU Language & Culture Camp,” designed to give students from the Nong Bua Lamphu province school a firsthand look at higher education facilities.

The delegation was welcomed by Yupaporn Thongnoi, the library’s Assistant Director for Strategy and Information Resource Management. Librarians Varaporn Panomsiri and Kulnasorn Ouantrai led the group on a tour of the library’s various service areas, including its Learning Space, Maker Space, and other information technology services.

A key highlight of the tour was a special session on the library’s new “Metaverse Experience.” Pitipong Pimpa, Head of Strategic Planning and Information Technology, delivered a presentation on virtual reality (VR) technology, offering the students an exciting and modern new way to learn.

The visit aimed to provide the students with exposure to advanced learning technologies like the metaverse, fostering their vision and inspiring them to pursue higher education. The KKU Library stated its commitment to being an open learning resource for students and the general public, continually offering modern services and innovations to support lifelong learning.
