
On January 21, 2026, the Khon Kaen University (KKU) Library hosted faculty members from Udon Thani Rajabhat University (UDRU) to discuss student internships and share best practices.
The visiting delegation from UDRU’s Information Science and Librarianship program, part of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, included Assistant Professor Dr. Nattaporn Saorayawiset and Assistant Professor Waraporn Khayayphon. They were welcomed by Mrs. Yupaporn Thongnoi, KKU Library’s Assistant Director for Strategy and Information Resource Management, along with internship mentors Ms. Varaporn Phanomsiri, Mrs. Sudawadee Chaidechtayakun, and Mrs. Yuwadee Petchara.
The primary purpose of the visit was to supervise and monitor the progress of UDRU students currently interning at the library. The meeting also served as a platform to exchange experiences and best practices in managing student internship programs, foster inter-institutional collaboration for student skill development, and gather feedback for future program improvements.
During their visit, the UDRU faculty received a presentation on the operational model of the KKU Library. This included an overview of how the library develops interns’ skills in areas such as user services, information resources, and information technology, ensuring their training aligns with the demands of the modern job market and the evolving digital-era profession.
This exchange between the two universities strengthens their collaborative network, aiming to enhance the quality of internship programs and elevate the standard of graduates in the information science and librarianship field. The KKU Library affirmed its commitment to being a quality training site and supporting the development of knowledgeable and capable professionals.
