On July 26, 2025, Khon Kaen University Library provided academic services to the Faculty of Medical Technology by deploying a team of expert lecturers. Led by Associate Professor Dr. Kanda Saikaew, and including Dr. Prasit Prathumrat, Mr. Theerayut Balchan, and Mr. Pitipong Pimpa, the team delivered a workshop titled “Generative AI for Research and Visualization for Medical Technology and Physical Therapy.” The training was held at the 42nd Anniversary Meeting Room of the Faculty of Medical Technology, coinciding with the faculty’s founding anniversary.
The objective of the training was to enhance the capabilities and preparedness of personnel in medical technology and physical therapy. It aimed to equip them with the skills to apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology to improve the efficiency of their research processes and academic presentations. The workshop covered topics ranging from literature review and basic data analysis to the use of Generative AI tools for creating research visualizations and assisting with academic writing. The training emphasized hands-on practice, enabling participants to immediately apply the acquired knowledge to their work.
The workshop was well-received and highly engaging. One participant remarked, “I learned so much; it helped me understand and connect AI tools for various tasks.” Another expressed anticipated benefits, stating, “I gained knowledge on using AI tools which I expect to be truly applicable in research. Thank you to all the lecturers.”
The success of this project not only highlights the strong collaboration between the departments but also underscores the Khon Kaen University Library’s crucial role in continuously driving and developing future-ready skills for the university’s personnel.
