KKU Library Staff Serve as Expert Lecturers on AI for Research

KHON KAEN – A team of specialists from the Khon Kaen University (KKU) Library served as expert lecturers for a workshop on “AI Tools for Research” on February 26, 2026. The event, hosted by North Eastern University (NEU), was designed to enhance the skills of academics in using artificial intelligence technology.

The workshop took place at a computer laboratory on the NEU campus. Assistant Professor Dr. Kanok-on Boonme, President of North Eastern University, presided over the opening ceremony and welcomed the expert team from the KKU Library.

The training was divided into two key sessions led by the KKU specialists:

The first session, “Prompt and AI Tools for Research,” was presented by Ms. Yodsayada Sitthiwong, a Senior Librarian and Head of the Reference and Innovation Information Unit. Her lecture focused on techniques for using prompts and AI tools to effectively search, synthesize, and manage data for research purposes.

The second session, “Prompt and AI Tools Image Creator,” was co-presented by Mr. Theerayut Balchon, an Information Specialist, and Dr. Prasit Pratumrat, an Information Specialist and Head of the Digital Technology and Audiovisual Unit. They demonstrated how to use AI to create compelling and effective images for research publications.

This academic collaboration highlights the role of the Khon Kaen University Library as a leading institution in information and digital technology, ready to share its knowledge and innovations to support the capabilities of educators and researchers at other higher education institutions.
