Khon Kaen University’s Office of the Library, in partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) and the information services company EBSCO, held a training workshop on the use of electronic databases for research on February 3, 2026.
The full-day event took place at the computer laboratory in the university’s Information Center Building. Ms. Suttilak Patpeng, the library’s Deputy Director for Administration and Human Resources, delivered the welcoming and opening remarks.
The workshop, part of the 2026 fiscal year training program, focused on providing instruction for searching and utilizing four specific online databases. Khon Kaen University served as the host venue for the first round of this training initiative for academic institutions located in Thailand’s Northeastern region.
Participants included representatives from numerous regional institutions, including Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, Udon Thani Rajabhat University, Surin Rajabhat University, Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, Mahasarakham Rajabhat University, Loei Rajabhat University, Chaiyaphum Rajabhat University, Buriram Rajabhat University, Sisaket Rajabhat University, Sakon Nakhon Rajabhat University, Roi Et Rajabhat University, and Rajamangala University of Technology Isan.
