On Sunday, January 25, 2026. The day’s activities included religious ceremonies, fundraising, and an environmental initiative.
The celebrations began at 7:30 a.m. at the Sirikunakorn Building, where Ms. Suthilak Phatpheng, the library’s Deputy Director for Administration and Human Resources, represented the library’s management and staff. She took part in a traditional merit-making alms-giving ceremony, a Buddhist blessing ceremony, and a fundraising drive for student educational funds.
Later in the morning, at 10:30 a.m., Mr. Donbowornpat Meekunchorn, the Assistant Director for Digital Technology and Security, represented the library at a tree-planting event held at the Science Museum. The initiative, aimed at fostering a “Green KKU,” saw university staff, current students, and alumni come together to plant 620 trees on the campus grounds.
