Staff from the Khon Kaen University (KKU) Library participated in the “KKU Enterprise Demo Day x Mitr Phol: Medical Innovation and Food Tech” event to build collaborative networks and stay current with research trends, highlighting the modern library’s role as a central hub supporting the university’s academic ecosystem.
The event, a joint effort between Khon Kaen University and the Mitr Phol Group, was held on November 17, 2025, at the Mitr Phol Innovation & Research Center located in the Khon Kaen Innovation Center (KIC) building. The opening address was delivered by Associate Professor Dr. Pensri Jaroenwanit, Vice President for Student Affairs and Innovative Business, with a welcome speech by Dr. Kampon Rithaiwanich, Head of Mitr Phol Innovation & Research.
The demo day served as a platform for KKU faculty and researchers to present standout projects in the fields of medical innovation and food technology. Presented innovations included diagnostic test kits, specialized health food products, and animal feed formulas. The event was designed to promote knowledge exchange and create opportunities for collaboration between researchers and the business sector.
Recognizing the importance of supporting research and building networks, the KKU Library assigned Nittiya Sriworadejphaisan, Assistant Director for Administration, Organization, and Community Relations, and Panuwat Uthaiban, a skilled Information Scientist, to attend. Their participation aimed to forge relationships and identify ways the library’s information resources and services can align with the university’s research and innovation direction.
The library’s involvement in this event reinforces its mission to be an integral part of strengthening the university’s research and innovation ecosystem. It also underscores its role as a key mechanism for supporting researchers in accessing information and creating work that can lead to sustainable commercial development and societal benefit
