Khon Kaen University (KKU) is set to enhance its campus safety protocols by organizing a major workshop aimed at developing its security personnel and establishing a “Smart Security and Safety” system. The initiative, led by the university’s Protection and Security Division, is part of a broader strategy to effectively safeguard the lives and property of students and staff.
An opening ceremony for the seminar project was held, with participation from the university’s Library Office, a key partner in the initiative. Mr. Donbawornpat Meekunchorn, Assistant Director for Digital Technology and Security, was present at the event, which took place at the Student Development and Alumni Relations Division building. The main seminar is scheduled for April 28, 2026.
The project focuses on integrating modern technology into all aspects of campus security management. Key objectives of the seminar include:
Smart Security and Safety: Implementing advanced technology to protect lives and property.
Traffic Management: Improving order and efficiency within the university’s transportation system.
Security and Disaster Relief: Enhancing intelligence coordination and preparedness for emergencies and natural disasters.
Operational Standards: Training personnel to meet international work standards, in line with Khon Kaen University Announcement No. 77/2024.
This initiative represents a significant step for Khon Kaen University in modernizing its security standards, ensuring the campus is prepared to meet future challenges in a sustainable manner.
