Khon Kaen University Library Upskills Interns with Digital and AI Training

Khon Kaen University Library has launched an intensive workshop series to equip its 2026 professional experience trainees with essential skills for the modern workplace. The program, held from April 21-24, 2026, at the library’s computer training room, focused on enhancing digital literacy, AI technology proficiency, and personal life management.

The training initiative aimed to prepare students for professional practice in the digital era by combining job-specific knowledge with future-ready skills. The series began on April 21 with a session on “Information Services for Reference and Innovation / AI Clinic,” followed by practical training on library counter services, including the Gate Control system, borrowing and returning procedures, and resource management.

Beyond traditional library functions, the program also addressed personal development. A workshop on “Financial and Investment Management and Generating Supplemental Income” was held on April 22 to provide students with a foundation for financial stability.

The latter part of the training focused on advanced technology skills. On April 23, interns learned about application development using AppSheet. The series concluded on April 24 with a session on creating reports with Looker Studio, designed to build skills in systematic data analysis and presentation.

According to the library, the workshop was designed not only to ensure interns can perform their duties effectively but also to cultivate the necessary competencies to compete in today’s job market. The goal is to develop the trainees into quality personnel prepared for future technological changes.
