KKU Library Welcomes New Interns with Professional Orientation 2026, Aiming for a “Learning Center for All”

The Khon Kaen University Library (KKUL) officially held its 2026 Professional Experience Orientation to prepare 27 students for their internships. The program focuses on integrating academic knowledge with real-world professional skills within a modern information management environment.

The orientation took place on April 20, 2026, at the Dok Khun Meeting Room. Ms. Suttilak Patpheng, Associate Director for Administration and Human Resources, delivered the welcoming remarks to students from Khon Kaen University and Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (Khon Kaen Campus). This diverse group of interns represents five key disciplines: Information Science (iSchool), Computer Science, Statistics, English, German, and Electronic Engineering.

A highlight of the event was the presentation on the “Vision and Direction of iSchool” by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kittiya Sutthiprapha, followed by a keynote session titled “Managing the Library as a Learning Center for All” by Mrs. Yupaporn Thongnoy, Assistant Director for Strategic Drive and Information Resource Management. This session emphasized the library’s evolving role in supporting lifelong learning in the digital era.

To ensure professional development, Ms. Nitiya Sriworadetpaisan, Assistant Director for Corporate Governance and Community Relations, conducted a session on “Project Writing and Routine-to-Research Techniques.” Additionally, Ms. Nat-on Liawprasert, Head of the Librarian School Unit, provided essential guidelines on workplace conduct and the mentor-mentee relationship.

The program concluded with detailed introductions from the heads of the four core departments: Administration, Strategic Planning & IT, Resource Management, and Services. This comprehensive overview allowed students to understand the synergy between different departments before beginning their hands-on training.
