The Khon Kaen University (KKU) Library hosted a delegation of faculty and exchange students from Far Eastern University – Dr. Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) in the Philippines. The visit was part of an effort to provide the students with learning experiences outside the classroom and to strengthen international academic ties.
On November 26, 2025, the library warmly welcomed the group, which included Mr. John Peter Paul Hanada, PTRP, a supervising instructor, and 12 students from the School of Physical Therapy. The delegation was in Khon Kaen as part of a Student Exchange Program with KKU’s Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences.
The visit to the library was a component of their campus tour, designed to introduce them to modern library management and services. Mr. Wanchat Phumee, Deputy Director for Services, Physical Plant, and Innovation, and Mrs. Tassanee Inlam, Director of the Administrative Division, led the reception.
Library staff guided the visitors through various service areas, including self-study zones, co-working spaces, and information technology services. The tour highlighted the innovative services that support the learning and research atmosphere at the university.
A point of significant interest for the delegation was the exhibition “Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother and Khon Kaen University,” located at the library’s archives, which left a strong impression on the faculty and students.
A special highlight of the tour was the “Metaverse Experience,” presented by Mr. Pitipong Pimpa, Head of Strategic Planning and Information Technology, and Mr. Wichayut Sila. This demonstration of the library’s latest virtual reality technology service was met with great excitement, offering the delegation new perspectives on digital learning.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the exchange students to experience the learning environment and resources at Khon Kaen University, fostering a greater exchange of knowledge and culture between the two institutions. The KKU Library expressed its pleasure in contributing to the students’ experience and affirmed its commitment to supporting academic activities that enhance the university’s international profile, reinforcing the library’s role as a modern and open learning center for all.
