The Khon Kaen University Library is advancing its commitment to sustainability by participating in a workshop aimed at achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions in the northeastern region of Thailand.
On Friday, October 17, 2028, library executives joined the “Isan Towards Net Zero: Empowering Business, Industry and Society” workshop held at the Khon Kaen University Science Park. Representing the library were Donbawornpat Meekunchorn, Assistant Director for Digital Technology and Security, and Thassanee Inlam, Director of the Administration Division.
The project’s primary goal is to equip personnel and organizations in the northeast with the knowledge and skills for proper greenhouse gas management based on scientific principles. It aims to encourage participants to apply this knowledge to develop concrete plans and initiate projects to reduce emissions within their own organizations.
The library’s participation reflects its dedication to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and contributing to Khon Kaen University’s broader ambition of achieving carbon neutrality and eventual net-zero emissions. The library intends to apply the insights gained from the workshop to develop more environmentally friendly work processes and resource management strategies.
