
The Khon Kaen University (KKU) Library is actively supporting the university’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) agenda, demonstrating its commitment to community and social sustainability.
On Monday, October 6, 2025, Ms. Yupaporn Thongnoi, Assistant Director for Strategy Implementation and Information Resource Management, represented the library administration at the opening ceremony for the “Activity to Promote Cooperation for Sustainable Development of Community and Society (SDGs).” The event took place at the ground floor lobby of the Sirikunakorn Building.
The ceremony was organized to declare the university’s commitment and showcase progress in driving the SDGs targets. Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, officially opened the event and communicated the university’s concrete policies for achieving the SDGs, emphasizing this as a crucial strategic direction.
Following the opening ceremony, administrators, staff, and guests toured the sustainability exhibition and the “SIRI Market: Im Sook Market.” This market featured products from KKU personnel, entrepreneurial networks, and community enterprises, serving to support the grassroots economy and promote sustainable consumption, aligning directly with the SDGs framework.
The library’s participation underscores its awareness and involvement in driving KKU’s core strategy, which aims to foster sustainability across academic, social, and environmental dimensions.
