KKU Library Showcases Advanced Innovations to Visiting Chinese Universities

The Library of Khon Kaen University (KKU) welcomed a delegation of five faculty members and staff from Shantou University and Beibu Gulf University, People’s Republic of China, on June 10, 2026. The visit, which took place from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, focused on exploring KKU Library’s modern service innovations and fostering international collaboration in digital-era library management.

The Chinese delegation was welcomed by Mr. Wanchart Bhumee, Deputy Director of Services, Physical Resources, and Innovation, alongside Ms. Prapaporn Monthathip, Head of Resource and Information Management.

During the study tour, the visitors explored modern learning spaces designed to meet the needs of contemporary students and staff. The library highlighted several key innovative services, including the “Metaverse Experience,” a cutting-edge service that integrates virtual reality technology into learning. This session was demonstrated and guided by Mr. Wichayut Srilah.

The delegation also visited the “KKU Maker Space,” a dedicated area for creative innovation. Mr. Uthit Namsithan introduced the space’s concept and showcased its technological tools, such as 3D printers and laser cutters, which are designed to foster hands-on creativity and lifelong learning.

This visit marks another significant step for the KKU Library in demonstrating its role as a regional and international leader in innovative information services.
