February 20, 2026 Khon Kaen University (KKU) Library dispatched its AI specialists to lead a workshop for government officials in Roi Et, aiming to enhance their skills in economic and fiscal reporting through the use of artificial intelligence.
The practical training workshop, held at the Petchrat Garden Hotel in Roi Et province, was organized for the committee responsible for producing the province’s economic and fiscal reports. The invitation highlights the KKU Library’s recognized expertise in digital technology.
Two specialists from the library served as the key speakers for the 50 participants: Dr. Prasit Pratumrat, Chairman of the Student Service Development Committee, and Mr. Teerayut Balachon, an Information Specialist.
The session covered fundamental AI concepts and practical applications, focusing on how AI tools can be used to search, collect, analyze, and manage large and complex economic data sets. The goal was to increase efficiency, reduce repetitive tasks, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of provincial reports.
This initiative aligns with the national government’s policy to develop the digital skills of public sector personnel as part of the transition to a digital government. The support from the KKU Library serves as an academic service to the community and demonstrates the capability of its staff to drive technological change for organizations both within and outside the university, contributing to the nation’s sustainable development.
