KKU Library Joins Workshop on Sustainable Development Planning

The Khon Kaen University Library participated in a strategic workshop on Saturday, December 13, 2025, focused on creating an operational plan to promote sustainable community and social development.

The event, held at the Rachawadee meeting room at Juad Cafe in Khon Kaen, was part of a broader university initiative to align its operations with the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Mrs. Yupaporn Thongnoi, the library’s Assistant Director for Strategy and Information Resource Management, attended as the library’s representative.

The workshop highlighted the KKU Library’s specific contributions toward achieving SDG 4: Quality Education. The library supports this goal through several key initiatives, including:

1. Developing free, hybrid lifelong learning courses that are accessible to the general public both online and in-person.
2. Providing free public access to a collection of open-source online books through the library’s website.
3. Supporting skill development in generative AI through an “AI Clinic” and specialized IT programs.
4. Promoting research skills at all stages of the research process via the KKU Research Hub.
