About service:
This service allows users to participate in the acquisition of information resources, specifically books, by recommending books they need for their studies, teaching, research, or recreational activities at the library. The recommendations are aligned with the users’ needs and within the budget allocated for each fiscal year.
Service eligibility:
Students, faculty members, researchers, and staff of Khon Kaen University who are currently enrolled or employed but have not yet graduated or are in regular employment status.
Guidelines for Book Recommendations:
- Books in English: Books/Textbooks published within the last 5 years
- Books in Thai: Books/Textbooks published within the last 5 years
- If older publications are necessary, please include a reason.
- Should apply to the department’s area of study and curriculum.
- The book should not duplicate existing titles.

Note: The recommendation is only a gathering of titles for the library administration’s consideration in the purchasing process, following procurement regulations
How to use the service:
Recommendations can be made through the following 3 channels:
Please be informed:
- The One Search channel allows recommendations for electronic books (eBooks) only.
- If you want to recommend more than one item at a time, click on the Google Form tab.
- Go to https://bit.ly/kku-book-sgt
- Fill in the information for the resource suggestions, up to 5 items at a time. If you need to suggest more than 5, you can submit additional forms as required.
- Please specify the reason for the request, and if you prefer an ebook, indicate this in the reason section.
- Go to https://opac.kku.ac.th/login and log in with KKU SSO Next.
- Navigate to your profile page
- Select Recommended Resources >> Add a recommendation.
- Enter the book details and provide the reason for your recommendation, then click Save.
*If you wish to suggest more than one item, please click on the Google Form tab.
*Recommendations are for electronic books (eBooks) only.
- Go to the library website and click on the One Search tab to search for your needed eBook.
- Filter your search results by selecting All filters >> Source types >> eBooks >> Apply
- Select the item that has the Request item
- Fill in your contact information for follow-up purposes and click Submit to send your request. (use only Khon Kaen University email addresses: @kku.ac.th or @kkumail.com).
