KKU Library Showcases Digital Innovations to Visiting Delegation from Japan’s Fujita Health University

On Monday, July 6, 2026, the Library of Khon Kaen University (KKU) hosted a delegation of six exchange students from Japan’s Fujita Health University (FHU) alongside faculty members from KKU’s Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences. The visit aimed to foster international academic networks and showcase modern library management, efficient information services, and the integration of digital technology.

The delegation was officially welcomed by Mr. Wanchart Bhumee, Deputy Director of Services, Physical Resources, and Innovation, and Mrs. Tassanee Inlam, Director of the Library Administration Division. During the reception, the administrators shared their vision of transforming the library into a “Learning Center for All,” emphasizing service excellence and the development of environments that support lifelong learning.

As part of the study visit, Dr. Prasit Prathumrat guided the delegation on a comprehensive tour of the library’s facilities. He detailed the institution’s service strategies and its commitment to providing equitable access to modern information resources.

Highlighting the library’s technological advancements, Mr. Pitipong Pimpa, Head of Strategic Planning and Information Technology, introduced the visitors to the “KKUL Metaverse.” This virtual reality experience was showcased to demonstrate how the library utilizes cutting-edge digital technology to overcome physical limitations and enhance the modern learning experience.
